Park-e

Brand Strategy and Branding
The Brief
Park-e is a startup focused on using technology to assist companies who pay fringe benefit tax on employee car parking space to easily calculate usage and save money. They needed a brand that could be used across a variety of formats, helping them successfully launch to market. This brief was for the branding portion of the job with the intention to create a website and app in the future.
Approach
As this is a start up, we decided to run a brand strategy session to give them clarity on their target audience and approach. We came up with a set of unique value propositions to guide the designs. Park-e will save time, increase accuracy and save companies money. Further we wanted to ‘bring fun to a tax managers day’. The brand needed to be bold, trustworthy and companding, while coming across modern, fun and tech forward.
The final design we landed on a bold design using an interesting accent colour to achieve the balance between trustworthy and modern. The italicised font creates movement, tracking the cars coming and going. The ‘-’ and ‘E’ represent parking spaces, the unfilled ‘-’ referring to empty car spaces and the savings that they would otherwise miss out on.
The designs will work excellently on digital platforms, using moody imagery to let the accent colour pop. I’m excited to take this project through it’s next phase.
